La Corona doesn't exist anymore. Don't remember the reason but it was shut down when we came there.

The Romeo & Julieta was shutdown also due to reconstruction. But it's probably opened by now again. The Partagas factory is probably the most visited of the factories i Havana. I wouldn't buy cigars anywhere else than at a LCDH store. Expect everybody to sell you fake cigars. Even the guard outside the LCDH store inside the Partagas factory tried to sell me some. And I heard the store manager say some bs to some other customers. So I told upfront that I was taking pictures when they sold me boxes so I had evidence of them selling me the boxes if I later discovered they were fake I would mail them to Habanos. When lady in the store pulled down the boxes from the shelfes she took a really good time which box to pick out.

That being said I intentionally bought some fakes in Pinar del Rio that are pretty good. Just make sure you don't pay a lot of money for them. And remember they scan carry on lugage going out of Cuba so you can't have anymore than 24 cigars without papers. You will get the proper papers when buying cigars from an official LCDH store.

Basicly I have a really hard time trusting any cuban. Most of them will try to hustle or take advantage of you one way or another. I can honestly say that I didn't meet more than 5-6 people that didn't want something from me one way or the other. But it was still one of my best vacations ever. And as long as you you don't mistake their friendliness you will be fine. Ooh and be sure to agree on a price before they do a service for you. Even when taking a taxi. Ask to them to put on the meter or agree on the price up front.
